"Try!" is the first live album by the blues-rock trio, which formed in 2005 and consists of singer-songwriter and guitarist John Mayer, bassist Pino Palladino, and drummer Steve Jordan. Released in 2005, the album features three songs co-written by Jordan, Mayer, and Palladino and was co-produced by Mayer and Jordan. The band members include John Mayer on guitar and vocals, Pino Palladino on bass and vocals, and Steve Jordan on drums and vocals, with Chalmers "Spanky" Alford also contributing on guitar.
